— DAILY GOSHO —
“This passage refers to the great joy that one experiences when one understands for the first time that one’s mind from the very beginning has been a Buddha. Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is the greatest of all joys.”
(The Essential Passage in Each of the Twenty-eight Chapters of the Lotus Sutra, Prophecy of Enlightenment for Five Hundred Disciples – The Record of the Orally Transmitted Teachings, page 211) Selection source: “Kyo no Hosshin”, Seikyo Shimbun, August 4th, 2014

—- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT —
“Being able to record your name in the history of kosen-rufu at such an important moment will become an everlasting honour. A new lineup of youthful leaders has launched into action with fresh resolve.
“Second Soka Gakkai president Josei Toda said to the youth: ‘Always move forwards together based on relationships of genuine trust.’
“Regardless of how the times may change, sharing beautiful ties of friendship with our fellow members will remain the eternal Gakkai spirit.
“‘I grieve with you in your sorrows; / You celebrate with me in my joys’- I have often hummed these lines from ‘Ah, the Dawn Approaches,’ the old dormitory song of Osaka Higher School. Let’s advance united in spirit toward a new dawn, sharing both joys and sorrows.”
