— WORDS OF THE WEEK —
Buddhism teaches the principle of three thousand realms
in a single moment of life.*
When we change our mindset through our faith and practice,
everything, in a single moment of life,
begins to head in the direction of victory and success.**

Let’s decide that we will win
and chant daimoku most earnestly.
From there on progress and development starts!

**”Our minds and energy should be concentrated on the tasks we must accomplish.  Our prayer is then directed, and, through the principle of three thousand realms in a single moment of life, the entire universe will move toward our victory and success.” – The Wisdom of the Lotus Sutra, Vol. 4

— DAILY GOSHO —
“Although I and my disciples may encounter various difficulties, if we do not harbor doubts in our hearts, we will as a matter of course attain Buddhahood. Do not have doubts simply because heaven does not lend you protection.
Do not be discouraged because you do not enjoy an easy and secure
existence in this life.”

—— DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ——

“Spreading friendship is a great source of joy in life. All of you who dedicate your lives to kosen-rufu are bright suns of human harmony and ambassadors of friendship. The essence of Buddhism lies in our behaviour as human beings.

“When meeting with neighbours, a simple greeting—such as ‘Hello, how are you?’ ‘Have a good day!’ or ‘Take care!’—can promote good relations. Try to offer warm encouragement and thoughtful words to new friends and old alike.

“Do whatever you can to support those who are struggling with problems. Devote energy to bringing others joy. If you have compassion, the wisdom to know what to do will well forth limitlessly. I hope you will have the kindness and generosity of spirit to impart through your words the message: ‘You are always in my heart. Feel free to talk to me about anything. I’d like to do the same with you.’

“Bonds of mutual trust are one of life’s treasures. None are richer than those who have many good friends.”
