— TO MY FRIENDS —
When unsettled weather such as unexpected heavy downpours,
sudden strong winds, thunder and lightning, etc. continues,
try to obtain the correct and appropriate information
and share that information with others.
Never ever underestimate weather conditions.
Let’s be prepared for the worst as much as we can
and not be at all careless.

* Japan up and down the whole country, like may other countries,
has recently been experiencing some sudden violent shifts
in weather which have caught many thousands of people unprepared.

— DAILY GOSHO —
“The Lotus Sutra, however, reveals not only the person’s form

but that person’s mind as well. And it reveals not only the mind;
it reflects, without the least concealment,
that person’s past actions and future as well.”

(Rulers of the Land of the Gods – The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin,
Vol. 2, page 619) Selection source: SGI President Ikeda’s guidance, Seikyo Shimbun, Sep 12th, 2014

—— DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ——

“The [bright mirror of the] Lotus Sutra . . . reveals not only the person’s form but that person’s mind as well. And it reveals not only the mind; it reflects, without the least concealment, that person’s past actions and future as well.
– From “Rulers of the Land of the Gods” (WND-2, 619).

“A sound philosophy serves as a bright mirror for our lives. The Lotus Sutra is the brightest mirror of all, reflecting not only the physical and spiritual aspects of our lives, but also the three existences of past, present, and future.

“If we chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo with faith in the Gohonzon, we can correctly perceive the present reality of our lives. We can come to see the workings of cause and effect in our lives and transform even the most negative karma that we may have accumulated from the past. We can also make our way unerringly on the path of unsurpassed happiness and benefit into the future.”
SGI Newsletter No. 9085, Living the Gosho: (29) The Bright Mirror That Illuminates the Three Existences, from 12th Sep., 2014, issue of the Seikyo Shimbun, translation released 12th Sep. 2014
