— WORDS OF THE WEEK —
Those who confront obstacles head on fear nothing.
When facing a problem, it’s a perfect opportunity
to elevate our life condition.
Let’s not let that opportunity slip us by!
Just as the Daishonin encourages us,
“The wise will rejoice,”*
let’s live each and every day boldly and confidently.
Let’s play out victorious dramas for kosen-rufu
and our own lives.
*”Something uncommon also occurs when an ordinary person attains Buddhahood. At such a time, the three obstacles and four devils will invariably appear, and the wise will rejoice while the foolish will retreat.” –
“The Three Obstacles and Four Devils”, WND-I, page 637

— DAILY GOSHO —
“At first only Nichiren chanted Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, but then two, three, and a hundred followed, chanting and teaching others. Propagation will unfold this way in the future as well.”
(The True Aspect of All Phenomena – The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, page 385)

—- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT —-
“We are noble Bodhisattvas of the Earth who have appeared in this world for the sake of kosen-rufu. Living in a corrupt and troubled age, we have the greatest possible mission to propagate the Buddhist teaching of respect for the dignity of life and dedicate ourselves to the realisation of peace and happiness of all humankind.
“The Japanese word for mission means ‘to use one’s life.’ …Every day that you chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo and use your life to work for the welfare of others, the community, and society, you proceed along the most positive path of life in rhythm with the universe.
“No matter what adversities may beset you, you can definitely change poison into medicine and carry out your human revolution. And by transforming karma into mission, you will be able to encourage and help guide many others.”
