— TO MY FRIENDS —
[I will raise the precious successors of Soka
into people even more capable than myself!]
The attitude and resolve of a leader
is what determines and shapes the future.
Let’s always begin by chanting strong and deep daimoku!

“Nichiren Daishonin writes: ‘One is the mother of ten thousand’ (WND-1, 131). The dynamic development of the new era of worldwide kosen-rufu also starts from the actions of a single individual. It starts from standing up as an individual, speaking to one person, encouraging one person, igniting the torch of hope in the heart of one person.

“We are still in the very earliest stages of this new era. We are certain to encounter obstacles in our path and be assailed by storms of tribulation. However, as the British philosopher Bertrand Russell (1872–1970) observed: ‘Hope, not fear, is the creative principle in human affairs.'[1]”
