— TO MY FRIENDS —
Let’s offer words of warm encouragement
to those Future Division members
who are about to graduate
and who are proceeding on to higher levels of education.
This is one of the most important times of their lives.
By carefully listening to what is in their hearts and on their minds,
let’s try to give them as much hope and confidence as we can!

— DAILY GOSHO —
“The most important thing in practicing the Buddhist teachings is to follow and uphold the Buddha’s golden words, not the opinions of others.”

—- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT —–
“The Daishonin underscores the importance of continuous and steadfast faith, saying: ‘Carry through with your faith in the Lotus Sutra’ (WND-1, 319).

“One cannot start a fire by striking a flint or rubbing sticks together if one stops before a spark is produced. One must continue without stopping until the fire is going. In the same way, the Daishonin teaches, it is crucial to remain constant and steadfast in one’s daily practice of Buddhism, to prevent any opportunities for devilish influences to gain ground.

“He stresses that to overcome adversity at life’s critical moments and manifest the fruit, or benefit, of Buddhahood, we must strive continuously and steadily in our Buddhist practice.”
