— TO MY FRIENDS —
The more effort a leader tries to make
by chanting daimoku and taking action,
the more successfully their organisation develops.
Let’s try to meet each member
and offer them our sincerest encouragement
and so build a strong bond of trust between each other.

— DAILY GOSHO —
“Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is like the roar of a lion. What sickness can therefore be an obstacle?”

“Any real struggle for kosen-rufu is invariably accompanied by obstruction from devilish functions. Only by vanquishing negative forces can we become Buddhas. Only through that process can we attain an expansive state of absolute happiness.

“So when we find ourselves in challenging times, let’s be upbeat and cheerful. Let’s advance with the heart of a lion king, confident that we can change our karma and transform everything, that we can make a cause for the eternal victory of mentor and disciple.

“Nichiren Buddhism is a teaching of unsurpassed optimism—offering a positive, hope-filled view of life throughout the three existences of past, present, and future. It enables us to move forwards unhindered. It is a great teaching that allows us to create value even from the harshest adversity.”
