— TO MY FRIENDS —
Let’s make the impossible possible!
That is the strategy of Buddhism.
To the members of “ever victorious” Kansai,
who the entire world looks up to,
now is the time to stand up with indomitable faith!
Let’s stride along the great path
of the oneness of mentor and disciple!

— DAILY GOSHO —
“(Although I and my disciples may encounter various difficulties, if we do not harbour doubts in our hearts, we will as a matter of course attain Buddhahood. Do not have doubts simply because heaven does not lend you protection. Do not be discouraged because you do not enjoy an easy and secure existence in this life.) This is what I have taught my disciples morning and evening, and yet they begin to harbour doubts and abandon their faith. Foolish men are likely to forget the promises they have made when the crucial moment comes.”

—- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT —-
“Make at least one really good friend with whom you can talk to about anything. Find one good senior in faith to whom you can turn to for advice and guidance when something happens. Having good friends and good seniors in faith will enable you to direct your life towards peace and happiness.
“Nichiren Daishonin cites the Lotus Sutra passage: ‘Thrust aside evil friends and associate with good companions [cf. LSOC3, 114]’ (WND-1, 832).
“Stay away from unscrupulous individuals and do not let them come near you. These are troubled times, so please do not let ‘bad friends,’ or negative influences, sway you or take advantage of you.
“I hope you will cheerfully forge ahead on the path of continuous victory with good, trustworthy friends.”
